Full roof replacement starts with a complete tear-off down to the deck. We inspect every board for rot or soft spots. In Rives, we find decking damage on about 30% of tear-offs. Damaged sections get replaced with CDX plywood before anything else goes on. Then we build up: ice and water shield in valleys and at eaves, synthetic underlayment across the full deck, new drip edge on every edge, starter strip, field shingles, hip and ridge caps, and ridge vent. TPO single-ply membrane in 60-mil or 80-mil thickness, fully adhered or mechanically attached over minimum R-25 polyiso insulation. Hot-air welded seams tested with a probe at every joint. We install per NRCA and manufacturer specifications with tapered ISO insulation creating minimum 1/4" per foot positive drainage. Ponding water is the number one cause of flat roof failure in Rives. Tapered insulation eliminates it. FM 4473 rated systems available for hail-prone areas. Fully warranted by Carlisle, Firestone, or GAF.
